BIM Coordinator - Refrigeration
About the role
Egan Company is seeking a BIM Coordinator - Refrigeration for our Mechanical team in Champlin, MN. This role oversees model management tasks for Virtual Design & Construction Projects.
Responsibilities
- Set-Up of BIM Coordinated Models Utilizing Egan Templates
- Coordination & Modeling of Mechanical Refrigeration Systems. Including all Information
- Provide a Complete & Functional Virtual Installation of the Project
- Create Field Installation Drawings & Fabrication Spool Drawings
- Collaborate with other Internal and External BIM Coordinators
- Review of Project Drawings, Specifications, Submittals, etc.… in order to Provide a Complete and Coordinated Project VDC Model
- Able to Find Issues During BIM Coordination Process and Assist in RFI Requests to Eliminate Field Issues
- Secondary Role: Maintain and Enhance Egan’s Refrigeration CAD Infrastructure
Requirements
- Two Year Technical Degree in CAD or Related Field
- Minimum of 5 years of Experience in Mechanical Industry
- Minimum of 2 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD Experience

- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Effective teacher, in small or large group settings
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects
- Fundamental Knowledge of Mechanical Refrigeration & Piping Systems
- Ability to Read and Interpret 2d Drawings & Specifications
- Ability to Read and Interpret MN Mechanical Codes
- Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Proficient in the following: CAD Skills, Creative problem solver, Highly organized, Proactive learner, Self Driven, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk ACCT, Trimble Position

Working Conditions
- Performance of duties will mostly be in the office; visits to shop and job sites as needed
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Exposure to On-Site Construction Elements during Site Visits

Salary Range
$80,000-$120,000 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus
