Billing Support Specialist

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for Construction & Service billing for multiple locations. They must ensure accurate invoice processing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation. They also need to minimize discrepancies and maintain compliance with financial procedures.

Summary

• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Work sitting for the standard eight-hour workday.
• Collaborate, problem-solve, and learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Must be a professional team player.
• Generate and process invoices for clients/customers.
• Verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and billing procedures.

Schedule

8-hour shift
Monday to Friday

Pay

$20-$25 DOE

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of two years’ related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess strong computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office products.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
• Talk or hear.
• Sit.
• Occasionally stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
