Summary:

• Responsible for billing and collecting patient accounts receivable balances from insurance companies.
• Expert in determining the optimal combination of re-billing, collecting, and required payments follow-up activities.
• Provides education to medical practice office staff to ensure accurate claims submission.
• Interprets contracts and ensures correct and timely payment, ensuring smooth workflow in the billing department.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Computer skills in Microsoft with emphasis in Excel
• Associates Degree in Business Administration or Coding Certification (Preferred)
• Knowledge of third party payer and coding guidelines
• Able to understand insurance terms, medical terminology, medical records, coding, and hospital bills
