Responsibilities

• Submit all claims in a timely manner through all applicable billing systems.
• Ensure all claims are entered in a timely manner within these systems and communicate directly with the Billing Manager if any billing updates and/or issues arise.
• Review weekly with Billing Manager to discuss any insurance submission updates.
• Reprocess denied claims as needed and assist the AR Specialist.
• Reprocess claims that are on hold for billing violations and assist the Billing Manager.
• Pull monthly client statements to send to Front Office Coordinators for mailing.
• Enter recurring payments via the credit card processing website.
• Record time and attendance via HRIS and Timekeeping system.
• Attend meetings/training as requested/required.
• Model the organization’s mission and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office, computer/laptop, tablet, and cell phone
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and billing systems
• High school diploma/GED and two or more years of relevant experience in medical or health care setting
• Familiarity with insurance and CPT codes
• Valid driver’s license
