Billing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support financial operations in Anderson, Indiana. This role focuses on accurate billing, payment processing, account review, and maintaining organized financial records within QuickBooks and related banking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices in QuickBooks and prepare payment checks with a high level of accuracy.
• Record incoming deposits in the accounting system and help ensure cash activity is documented correctly.
• Coordinate bank deposit activity and assist with routine banking transactions.
• Create, review, or authorize organizational banking transactions through the online bank portal as needed.
• Examine profit and loss statements and balance sheet entries to confirm transactions are posted to the proper accounts.
• Provide support for year-end accounting tasks and contribute to preparation activities for the annual financial audit.

Requirements

• Experience performing billing and invoice processing tasks in a detail-oriented office environment.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and comfort using computerized billing systems.
• Ability to manage billing statements, payment records, and deposit entries with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with billing support functions, including collections and account follow-up activities.
• Basic understanding of financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Proficiency with online banking tools and standard business software applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple accounting-related tasks efficiently.
