Billing Specialist
About the role
Billing Specialists at Cognizant Corporate provide critical support to Project Managers by preparing invoices and ensuring alignment with customer guidelines and project billing schedules. They collaborate closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to maintain accurate and timely billing operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, improving billing workflows, and contributing to operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with customer guidelines and project timelines.
- Support Project Managers with billing activities and ensure compliance with billing frequency requirements.
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Troubleshoot billing issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail across all billing-related activities.
Requirements
- Achieve a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Show strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Show excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Show strong problem-solving abilities.
- Show effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Show the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Show a strong sense of ownership, a desire to create meaningful outcomes, and a passion for work that serves a greater good.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
