About the role
Responsible for Medical Records Management systems including receiving, assembling, evaluating for completeness, deficiencies of all discharged records, utilization of advanced computer skills and electronic medical record system. Teach other staff and clinicians how to use the medical record module. Perform patient chart audits, discharge billing audits, and create templates, bundles and codes within the medical software.

Requirements
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Five years' experience in a veterinary or similar medical setting; knowledge of medical terminology.
- Vocational/Technical degree may substitute for up to two years required experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact professionally with all levels of administration.
- Self-motivated and well organized.
- Capable of independent judgement, decision making, and performing with minimal oversight or supervision.
- MS Office experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Veterinary Technology and/or Animal Medical Coding
- Associate's degree or an equivalent education and experience
- Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Oklahoma and/or Certified Animal Medical Coder preferred
- Commensurate veterinary or medical office setting experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computers and office equipment desired
- Basic accounting skill and/or experience preferred.
Pay
$14.15 - $19.20 Hourly
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
