Billing Specialist & Accounting Assistant

Position Summary

ALL Erection & Crane Rental, located in Independence, OH, is seeking a Billing Clerk and Accounting Assistant with solid general office skills to assist with billing, invoicing, and other accounting functions. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive benefits in a casual office environment.

Essential Functions

• Oversight of billing and invoicing
• Maintain up-to-date account billing
• Ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and recording of all charges, records, and other entries
• Perform billing, collections, and other office support activities
• Transfer data to general ledger
• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form
• Update, verify, and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
• Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
• Aid in month-end reporting procedures
• Use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Perform a wide range of accounting, bookkeeping, clerical, and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization

Skills And Experience Requirements

• Experience with NexGen maintenance software preferred
• Current Notary, preferred
• Must have solid general office skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Three (3+) years experience with Accounts Receivable or Billing, highly desired
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

Skills And Experience Preferred

• Experience with accounting software
• Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
