Billing Services Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, processes, and projects related to payment processing, collections of all third party and self-pay accounts receivable, keeping days in AR within set guidelines, and other tasks assigned to Patient Account Representatives (PAR) I through III. The supervisor will provide front-line support and assistance to billing staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, including answering questions, prioritizing tasks, and assuring work completion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a medical setting, including two (2) years in a supervisory role required
• Knowledge and experience working AR with third party insurance and FQHC billing and follow up required
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 required
• Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required
• Experience in Electronic Practice Management/Medical Records system required (Nextgen or EPIC preferred)
