Billing Representative- ON SITE

Responsibilities

• Posts all insurance EFTs with accuracy
• Reviews insurance EOBs and places a copy in the patient account
• Makes accurate account adjustments
• Mails statements
• Follows up with past due accounts, including account audits
• Sends collection calls following scripting
• Sets up refund requests
• Keeps Accounts Receivable (AR) within company set percentages
• Records batch totals with date and initials on payment receipt spreadsheet
• Balances batches and runs transaction reports
• Ensures accuracy of all patient data

Requirements

• Physically located in the Eastern Time Zone
• At least 1 year of experience working with healthcare
• Technical School/Associate's Degree preferred
• Knowledge of dental or medical billing/collections/insurance terminology preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounts receivable and accounting principles
• Understanding of the revenue cycle and how the various components work together
• Computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to recognize roadblocks that may be causing slower reimbursement and work with management team to create solutions
• Service-oriented/customer-centric
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Physically located in the Eastern Time Zone.

At least 1 year of experience working with healthcare.

Pay

$21 - $28/Hour based on experience

Schedule

HYBRID: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm (remote)
