Description
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute complex legal billing and electronic invoicing (e-billing) with high accuracy, ensuring full compliance with specific client fee arrangements and firm policies.
- Manage the full invoice lifecycle, including performing revisions, finalizing, and posting invoices within the firm’s financial software (Aderant).
- Oversee e-bill submissions, including the preparation and transmission of files through various vendor systems (e.g., Collaborati, TyMetrix) and performing necessary follow-ups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve invoice rejections, monitor status updates, and report on resolution progress to stakeholders.
- Process a high volume of monthly invoices while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Facilitate solution-oriented communication with clients, vendors, attorneys, and internal staff to resolve billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop client-required budgets using Microsoft Excel and assist with ad-hoc financial projects as requested.
- Utilize a professional software suite—including Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)—to perform duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- College degree required, with at least 5 years of legal billing and e-billing experience in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- An analytical thinker with a natural aptitude for numbers and problem-solving.
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize a full workload with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently with minimal direction while maintaining a collaborative approach with team members.
- High level of adaptability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Professional judgment and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.
- Experience performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties following established procedures.
Compensation
