Billing Clerk

CFHC is looking for an experienced Bill Clerk to join our team! As a Billing Clerk, you’ll bring accuracy, organization, and a people-first approach to everything from payment posting and insurance billing to resolving patient account questions. You will collaborate with teams across the organization, work through a variety of billing challenges, and contribute to a positive patient experience — all while supporting Cowlitz Family Health Center’s mission of providing accessible, patient-centered care to our community.

Requirements

• High school graduate/GED required
• Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding, preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of previous/related experience in Patient Registration, Patient Receivables or Medical Billing and Insurance
• Experience using electronic health records systems is required
• Analysis of EHR for self pay billing, insurance billing and experience in EPIC, preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ CDT procedure codes, and ICD-9/10 diagnosis coding is preferred in this role
• Ability to work with a low-income, multi-ethnic patient population and a demonstrated ability to relate respectfully and effectively to people of diverse racial, educational and socio-economic backgrounds
• Must be a confident, self-directed individual who can work within a team as well as independently
• Strong communication, organization, documentation and record keeping skills necessary

Pay

Wage Range: $20.79 - $22.39 Per Hour

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
