Billing and Pay Specialist

About the role

The Billing and Pay Specialist supports the brokerage operation by ensuring accurate and timely carrier settlements and billed invoices to ATS customers, adhering to their specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal departments to understand customer requirements and meet quality standards on invoices.
• Process invoices promptly after loads are reported and delivered.
• Investigate and resolve issues with unbilled loads.
• Process carrier settlements to keep payments current and in good standing.
• Handle customer corrections and carrier settlement corrections to resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Run and post customer invoices on a daily and monthly basis.
• Ensure compliance with ATS's Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Support ATS's culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions with the Company's values.
• Perform work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed.
• Occasionally travel for work, including overnight trips.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A higher education degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a related area such as billing, collections, settlements, accounting/financial, etc.
• Basic understanding of general administrative, accounts payable, and billing procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).
• Ability to adapt to high work volumes in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong 10-key and keyboarding skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task and work independently.
• Team player willing to work on various projects.

Pay

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour. The offered rate may vary based on experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

Schedule

Occasional travel may be required, including overnight trips.
