About the role

The Billing and Coding Specialist provides expert coding and billing functions for the organization to accurately reimburse service delivery. Duties include conducting Coordination of Benefit audits at external provider agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately codes and bills for services provided by Network180 clients
  • Conducts Coordination of Benefit audits at external provider agencies
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations regarding billing and coding
  • Works collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years of medical billing experience
  • Associates degree in Health Information Technology or related field and 2 years billing experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Third-party Insurance
  • Ability to work with and safeguard sensitive and protected provider information and other confidential information
  • Advanced and highly honed organizational skills
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use

Qualifications

  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities

Pay

$21.99 - $29.15 per hour. The final job offer is based on several factors (internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials).

Schedule

40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position is remote with some in-person meeting requirements within Kent County.
