About the role
Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Billing Accountant II to support our Accounting Department. This position will require billing experience in a government contract environment, Costpoint experience, and proficiency in Excel.
Responsibilities
- Billing contracts on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to DoW customers through Wide Area Workflow and a variety of other avenues.
- This includes analysis of WAWF data to determine billing funding levels and assess success of invoice progressing through the WAWF process.
- Set up billing formats and project configurations in Costpoint from information obtained in the contract.
- Identify and resolve revenue issues.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly journal entries, such as direct cost accruals, GSA Fee accruals, CAF accruals.
- Reconcile Billing to Revenue.
- Reconcile Billing to Cost Reports.
- Monthly review of Accounts Receivable to identify and resolve late payments issues.
- Monthly review of Unbilled Accounts Receivable.
- Participate contract close-outs and coordinate de-obligations of funding.
Job Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in processing billing for a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price and Time and Material.
- Desired candidate will have knowledge of close outs and ULOs.
- Employee must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to coordinate easily with other back-office departments including Program Control and Contracts.
