Billing Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Accountant to manage our billing cycle, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and support the accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid grasp of accounting principles, and experience working with billing systems and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and issueaccuratecustomer invoicesin accordance withcontracts, pricing agreements, and company policiesReconcile billing data against contracts, purchase orders, and service records to ensure accuracyMonitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balancesProcess credit memos, adjustments, and refunds as neededInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiriesMaintainaccuratebilling records and supporting documentation for audit purposesCollaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracyAssistwith month-end close activities, including revenue recognition and account reconciliationsGenerate billing reports and metrics for management reviewIdentifyopportunities to improve billing processes and systemsEnsure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and applicable regulations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accountingRequired:hands-on experience with NetSuite for billing, invoicing, and financial reportingRequired:experience using Salesforce for managing customer/account data andsyncingwith billing workflowsStrong Excel skills; experience with formulas, pivot tables, and reportingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesUnderstanding of GAAP and basic revenue recognition principles Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with contract billing, subscription billing, or usage-based billing modelsExperience with NetSuite-Salesforce integration tools or workflows Company Information OpenExchange is the worldwide trusted leader in video and multimedia solutions for investor communications.
