Bill Review Analyst I
About the role
This is a hybrid position responsible for reviewing, auditing, and data-entering medical bills for multiple states and lines of business.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Auditing medical bills to ensure appropriateness and adherence to State Fee Schedules, customer guidelines, and PPO discounts
- Consulting reference materials in the auditing process
- Maintaining regular and consistent attendance
- Complying with safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
- Additional duties as assigned
Production Requirements
- Meet 98% accuracy
- Enter 10,000+ keystrokes per hour
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical terminology and workers’ compensation billing guidelines
- CPT/ICD/HCPCS coding
- UBO4/DWC-9/DWC-10 and CMS 1500 form types
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Collaborative and independent problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and skilled in time management
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of data entry experience
- Experience with medical bill review preferred
Pay Range
Pay Range: $16.90 - $23.42 per hour
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.), new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during the interview process.
