About the Role

Wholesure, a division of Acrisure, is seeking an Underwriter to work directly with multiple carrier partners to shop, approve risks, and underwrite new and renewal policies. You will partner with agents and carriers to find the best product to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle risk selection and pricing for new lines by reviewing, evaluating, and rating submissions.
• Determine renewal actions by analyzing claim reports and pre-underwriting reviews.
• Evaluate loss control reports, recommend corrective actions, and monitor progress.
• Complete underwriting file documentation in adherence to established standards.
• Build and maintain producer relationships, including training on company procedures, product knowledge, and underwriting guidelines.
• Resolve producer problems and concerns.
• Monitor producer production and loss ratios for portfolio management.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Requirements

• Self-motivating personality.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficiency with agency management systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of property & casualty insurance experience.
• Active P&C License.
• Bilingual in English and any Chinese dialect or Korean (preferred).

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $82,000. Placement within the range will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Schedule

This role requires an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
