About the role

Bilingual Social Worker - Early Start is a hybrid flex schedule role based in Marin County, offering the opportunity to work both in the community and from home.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments and develop Family Service Plans for clients aged 0-3.
  • Partner with families to address developmental needs and build on family strengths.
  • Provide information and referrals to families and community agencies.
  • Monitor child development and provide developmental activities.
  • Act as an advocate for clients to secure entitlements and services.
  • Educate families on available resources and support services.
  • Research and initiate referrals for community resources.
  • Participate in community meetings and task forces.
  • Coordinate transition from Early Start services to local school districts or other programs.
  • Prepare and maintain client records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of social welfare or related human services field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred; Case Management experience with infants or children under 4 strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in both reading and speaking Spanish.
  • Experience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity.
  • Knowledge of Early Start regulations and services for High Risk Infants and their families.
  • Good interview skills and team spirit.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and focus on key job outcomes.
  • Proactive learning and staying current with new information in the field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with MS Office or similar software applications.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Crisis management and decision-making abilities.
  • Empathy and cultural awareness.

Pay

$59,826 - $71,791 starting salary for Bachelor’s Degree; $65,929 - $79,114 for Master’s Degree.
