About the role

Bilingual Social Worker - Early Start positions are available in the Early Start Division of GGRC. This role offers a hybrid flex schedule, allowing work in the community and from home.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments and develop Family Service Plans for clients aged 0-3.
  • Partner with families to address issues and build on their strengths and natural supports.
  • Monitor child development and provide developmental activities.
  • Provide intake services and crisis management as needed.
  • Advocate for clients to ensure they receive entitlements and exercise their rights.
  • Educate families on available resources and support, as well as specific policies and programs like Medicaid Waiver and Institutional Deeming.
  • Research and initiate referrals, monitoring their progress.
  • Participate in community meetings and tasks.
  • Help improve and develop community services by providing support.
  • Maintain client records and progress notes.
  • Determine eligibility for further GGRC services and coordinate transitions to local school districts or other programs.
  • Prepare Special Incident Reports and other required reports and forms.
  • Avoid non-compliance with program policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of social welfare or related human services field.
  • Master's Degree preferred; Case Management experience with infants or children under 4 is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in both reading and speaking Spanish.
