Bilingual Social Worker - Early Start (Spanish Required)

About the role

Bilingual Social Worker - Early Start positions are available in GGRC's Early Start Division. This role offers a hybrid flex schedule, combining in-person work in San Francisco and remote work options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and develop Family Service Plans for clients aged 0-3.
• Partner with families to identify and utilize community resources and referrals.
• Provide information and support to families and community agencies regarding GGRC services and entitlements.
• Monitor child development and provide developmental activities.
• Act as an advocate for clients to secure necessary services and address their rights.
• Educate families on available resources and support, as well as specific policies and programs like Medicaid Waiver and Institutional Deeming.
• Research and initiate referrals, monitoring their progress and vendor services.
• Participate in community meetings and tasks as assigned.
• Help improve and develop community services by providing support.
• Maintain accurate client records and progress notes.
• Determine eligibility for further GGRC services and coordinate transitions to local school districts or other community programs.
• Prepare Special Incident Reports and other required reports and forms.
• Avoid non-compliance with program policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of social welfare or related human services field.
• Master's Degree preferred; Case Management experience with infants or children under 4 is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in both reading and speaking Spanish.
• Experience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity.
• Knowledge of identifying and navigating generic services.
• Knowledge of principles, objectives, and techniques of counseling individuals.
• Knowledge of typical and atypical child development behavior, human growth, and family relationships.
• Knowledge of state and federal legislation concerning Early Start regulations and services for High Risk Infants and their families.
• Good interview skills and team spirit.
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities and focus on key job outcomes.
• Ability to proactively stay current with new information in area of expertise.
• Excellent communication skills in producing documents in a business manner and conveying complex information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
• Familiarity with MS Office or similar software applications.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills.

• Empathetic and able to respect and support cultural awareness.

Pay

Starting salary range: Bachelor's Degree - $59,826 - $71,791; Master's Degree - $65,929 - $79,114.
