Bilingual QA Engineer

About the role

We seek a Bilingual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through meticulous testing procedures for a forward-thinking global leader in the lottery industry. This is an on-site assignment in Jefferson City, MO. The ideal candidate is a Jefferson City resident with fluent Spanish speaking abilities, manual functional testing experience, and proficiency in agile methodologies and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the application.
• Develop detailed and well-organized test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Execute manual test cases to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure the overall quality of the software.
• Perform both functional and non-functional testing.
• Clearly document and report defects, including detailed steps to reproduce, to facilitate efficient communication with developers.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and resolve any issues that arise during the testing process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies; provide feedback on ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the testing lifecycle.
• Effectively communicate testing progress, results, and any potential risks to project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Fluent Spanish speaking capability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent academic QA experience).
• 1 to 5 years of experience as a Functional Tester or in a similar role (manual testing is required).
• 1 to 5 years of experience with automation testing.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of system integrations and architecture.
• Proficiency in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Good understanding of JIRA and dashboard creation to showcase relevant KPIs.
• Ability to read and write basic API workflows using JMeter or Postman tools.
• Ability to read and interpret logs.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
• Knowledge in the gaming domain.

Pay

$45 to $50 hourly (W-2).
