About the role
FlexXray is looking for a Plant Operations Supervisor in the Aurora area. The Plant Supervisor oversees daily inspection processes, ensuring inspection goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are met by managing workflow, staff, and equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor FlexXray’s compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards; notify Plant Manager of non-compliant practices.
- Manage, maintain, and implement FlexXray’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP); recommend updates to Plant Manager.
- Manage, maintain, and implement FlexXray’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program; recommend updates to Plant Manager.
- Monitor x-ray, dud detection, and bundle line compliance with FlexXray’s SSOP and HACCP programs; coordinate corrective action with Inspection Line Leads.
- Brief Plant Manager on corrective action taken and document.
- Review inspection reports for quality and conformance to FlexXray’s procedures; submit reports to the front office daily and recommend changes to Plant Manager.
- Review inspection line seed logs for quality and conformance to FlexXray’s procedures; submit reports to the front office daily and recommend changes to Plant Manager.
- Review temperature logs and contaminates retrieval reports for quality and conformance to FlexXray’s procedures.
- Monitor secure storage of site-approved cleaning products; ensure Material Safety Data (MSD) sheets are posted for each approved product.
- Monitor effectiveness of FlexXray’s Pest Management Program and coordinate service needs with Plant Manager.
- Implement a “Deep Cleaning” schedule for the warehouse perimeter, inspection equipment, forklift, trailers, yard mule, ceiling, and fixtures as outlined in the company’s master cleaning schedule.
- Conduct SSOP and GMP New Hire and Annual Training for X-ray Operators, Line Leads, and Forklift Operators; maintain training forms and logs.
- Fill in on the inspection line as needed.
- Create “Master Folder” and “Project Folder” once a truck is scheduled or arrives at the facility.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Admin to monitor a project’s progress and ensure it is handled properly.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all work being performed.
- Provide immediate performance feedback to resolve employee conflicts and assist in short-term resolution of emergency situations such as safety, attendance, and conduct.
- Ensure outbound products are acceptable for shipping.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- 3–5 years of proven production supervisor experience in the food industry.
- Knowledge of GMPs, FDA regulations, and 5S methodology.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.

Pay
$68,000 - $73,000 / year
