Bilingual Paralegal - Property Damage

About the role

We're seeking a Bilingual Paralegal - Property Damage to join our team at Matos Personal Injury Lawyers. This role involves managing property damage auto vehicle claims from start to finish, advocating for clients with insurance companies, and collaborating closely with attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Manage auto vehicle property damage claims from start to finish, under attorney guidance
• Assist clients in getting their vehicles evaluated by insurance companies
• Obtain total loss offers from insurance adjusters and keep clients informed throughout — negotiating as needed and with attorney approval
• Obtain vehicle evaluations and repair estimates
• Help clients secure rental vehicles during the claims process
• Pursue reimbursement for damaged personal property inside the vehicle
• File and follow up on GAP claims through resolution
• Collaborate closely with attorneys on offer approvals, case strategy, and direction
• Perform all duties in accordance with paralegal standards — no unauthorized practice of law

Qualifications

• Bilingual required, must be fluent in both English and Spanish — written and spoken
• Background in insurance, auto claims, or personal injury law strongly preferred
• Able to work independently and take ownership of your caseload — while also following attorney direction and established firm processes
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of active files — our current caseload runs 20–50, with growth targets that could reach 100+
• Comfortable with high-volume phone work and persistent follow-up — this role requires it daily
• Thick-skinned and professional when dealing with insurance adjusters
• Solution-oriented mindset — you don't wait for a playbook when a new problem shows up
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through from first contact to final resolution
• Genuine desire to help people and get them the best outcome possible
