Expectations

  • Customer Service - serves at the primary point of contact for families, providing timely and effective service for all inquiries and needs.
  • Answering Phones and directing calls
  • Greeting and assisting Guests, parents, and students
  • Checking guests in and out for security purposes
  • Handling faxes, copies, paperwork, etc.
  • Clerical Tasks - Data entry of essential student information into student management software and other platforms.
  • Security/student help - Tracking students to/from nurse
  • Assisting security, nurse, clinic with retrieving students
  • Maintaining real-time attendance records
  • Communicating with teacher, administration, safety and family
  • Mail/packages - Receiving, sorting and distributing mail and packages
  • Financial/Fee Handling - Collecting and tracking student fees
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to assist in the flow of information amongst staff and/or families.

Professional

  • Communicate proactively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues, providing frequent updates on student progress, classroom activities, and school initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning.
  • Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services.
  • Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role--we are a team that is stronger together in service of our students.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated belief in the potential of every child and a commitment to supporting excellence for each student.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Office Administration or Secretarial Training preferred.
  • Active participation in a Christian church.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency (written and spoken) required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong initiative.
  • Prior experience in a busy office setting with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated keyboarding proficiency (55+ WPM).
  • Proficiency with office and web-based programs; Google Workspace preferred.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Team-oriented and committed to the mission and model of St. Augustine Preparatory Academy.
