Bilingual Medical Assistant (CMA), English/Spanish

About the role

Lifetime Health and Wellness center is an onsite health clinic available to our employees and their dependents. We are a family practice setting with occupational injury treatment also.

Responsibilities

• Captures vital signs and performs diagnostic tests, labs and processes and enters results
• Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider
• Provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks
• Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting room, and exam room experience
• Prepares patients to be seen by physicians
• Aids provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an EMR system

Requirements

• Minimum requirements: Verifiable successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Current CPR certificate
• Current American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
• Preferred qualifications: Successful completion of a medical assisting internship, one or more years' experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting, one or more years of demonstrated customer service experience, experience working with an EMR system, phlebotomy experience

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: This position requires verifiable successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Current CPR certificate
• Current American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and via email, as well as ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Tuesday, Thursday 9:30am to 6:00pm
Fridays 8 to 4
