Bilingual MDFT Clinician

About the Role

The Bilingual Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) Clinician provides model-adherent, intensive in-home clinical treatment to adolescents with substance abuse and delinquent behaviors and their families. The clinician will go through the MDFT certification process, obtain licensure clinical and supervision hours, and gain experience in adolescent, parent, and family clinical care. This role may also provide support through the MDFT-Opioid Use Disorder (MDFT-OUD) model, an evidence-based, intensive in-home treatment program for adolescents and young adults (ages 12-21) with opioid use disorder, complex behavioral health, or social and emotional challenges.

Bilingual (Spanish and English) proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical documentation.
• Provide triage for clinical emergencies and align with identified safety plans.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external providers.
• Meet with families based on model expectations.
• Provide services in office, remote, and/or community settings (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, or other community locations).
• Transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate.
• Work in a team to provide wrap-around services, including clinical and case management support.
• Participate in on-call rotation with teammates to support clients/families in times of crisis.

Requirements

• Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a Doctorate in Psychology.
• Must be licensed or license-eligible (LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist). If an MSW, an LMSW (permit or license) or LCSW is required to begin employment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a vehicle in the community.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) proficiency required.

Location & Schedule

This position is based in Waterbury, New Haven, and New Britain and is offered as a hybrid schedule with remote and in-home sessions. The role follows a flexible full-time schedule.

Pay

Salary: $62,000 annually.

Bilingual Stipend: $4,576 annually (paid out throughout the year).

$5,000 sign-on bonus: half paid upon hire and half paid at one year of service.

Monthly mileage reimbursement for in-home/community travel.
