Bilingual Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Community Maintenance
  • Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
  • Auxiliary in the make-ready process
  • Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily
  • Manage preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain well-organized and properly stocked maintenance shop
  • Assist in hazard communications program
  • Participate in unit inspections
  • Monitor inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations
  • Utilize property resources, equipment and supplies economically
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager

Customer & Resident Relations

  • Manage excellent customer service
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
  • Enforce policies of the community

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another
  • Frequently ascend and descend ladders, stairs, ramps, step stools, etc.
  • Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces, traverse flat and uneven terrain, work in an overhead position and/or reaching
  • Lift and place objects of 100+ lbs.
  • Communicate with others to exchange information
  • Repeat motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Operate machinery and power tools
  • Operate motor vehicles and/or golf carts
  • Assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
  • Identify and inspect objects and areas
  • Exposed to outdoor weather elements (wind, precipitation) including low and high temperatures and exposed to hazardous chemicals
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, night hours (on-call property emergencies)

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Physical Demands

  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

Licenses/Equipment

  • Reliable transportation due to the emergency on-call requirement

Salary Range

$24 per hour to $27 per hour
