About the role
A respected Chicago litigation firm is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This is a client-facing role central to the firm's success - you'll guide prospective clients through the intake process with warmth and professionalism, gather essential case information, and help attorneys evaluate potential matters. Ideal for an articulate, compassionate communicator who thrives on client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls, texts, and inquiries from prospective clients, moving seamlessly between English and Spanish
- Conduct initial intake interviews and gather relevant case information
- Serve as a compassionate, bilingual first point of contact, treating every client with empathy and discretion
- Make outbound calls, emails, and texts to follow up with leads and prospective clients
- Schedule consultations and appointments and manage attorney and paralegal calendars
- Manage client files and update document management systems
- Route calls and collaborate across the firm to bridge communication gaps
Qualifications
- Native or professional fluency in both English and Spanish required
- 1+ year of client intake, legal assistant, or relevant client-facing experience preferred (legal ideal, but strong candidates from healthcare, behavioral health, or social services considered)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with sharp attention to detail
- High level of professionalism, compassion, and discretion with confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Pay
$50,000 - $52,000 per year
