Bilingual Immigration Consultation Attorney — 30 Hours, Benefits, Hybrid
About the role
Helen Tarokic Law PLLC is seeking an experienced Bilingual (Spanish/English) Immigration Intake (Consultation) Attorney to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This position focuses on client consultations, intake, client education, and business development rather than managing an independent caseload. This is a hybrid role designed for an attorney with prior immigration law experience who values both flexibility and in-person collaboration and who enjoys the complexity of immigration law consultations.
The position begins with a remote onboarding period. Following onboarding, the attorney will work with the firm on a relocation plan, with the expectation of relocating to the Wilmington, NC area within the first year of employment. Once relocated, the position is hybrid: a minimum of two days per week in-office, with three days remote (additional in-office time is welcome).
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex client consultations, with particular emphasis on Spanish-language intake and follow-up.
- During the initial onboarding period, the attorney will participate in remote training and orientation.
- After relocation, the attorney will work a minimum of two days per week in-office and three days remotely.
- Collaborate with the firm on business development activities.
- Support the firm's focus on humanitarian and family-based immigration work, including adjustment of status, naturalization, DACA, waivers, motions practice, and U/T visa matters.
- Do not handle detained removal defense or asylum court work.
Requirements
Required Education:
- Juris Doctor
Additional Information:
- Hybrid/Remote is allowed.
- The position is not a contractor role.
- Consultation blocks typically are prescheduled for a 2-hour slot.
- The attorney will relocate to the Wilmington, NC area within the first year of employment.

Pay
Level 2 (Mid-Level Attorney): $35/hour (as a W-2 employee) - Level 3 (Senior Attorney with significant experience): $40/hour to – $47.50/hour (as a W-2 employee)
Schedule
