Bilingual HR Preboarding Specialist
About the role
The Bilingual Preboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating a smooth onboarding process for new hires at Avis Budget Group. This position requires strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate pre-hire welcome calls with new hires to explain onboarding steps and expectations.
- Process I-9 documentation in Workday, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Aid new hires with accessing Workday, Workjam, and UKG, including login support and troubleshooting.
- Review and explain training requirements, including a suggested timeline for completion.
- Respond to new hire inquiries through a case management system, documenting and escalating issues as needed using appropriate processes.
- Research and resolve onboarding-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Handle multiple onboarding tasks simultaneously, prioritizing according to urgency.
- Work independently on routine responsibilities while supporting broader HR team goals.
- Actively contribute to improving HR services, processes, and procedures to enhance employee satisfaction and performance.
- Maintain compliance across all assigned HR shared service processes.
- Navigate and utilize HR systems, including the Employee Portal, Self Service tools, Knowledge Base, and Case Management platform.
- Meet service level agreements for task completion and support response times.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma; additional education is a plus.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in an HR or support setting.
- Workday experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively assist and support new hires.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills for tracking, documenting, and managing multiple cases.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
