About the role
As an Immigration Staff Attorney, you'll join our frontline legal team serving clients in vulnerable positions. You'll handle a full caseload, meet directly with clients, and collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and community partners to deliver excellent legal service and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of personalized legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
- Meticulously review application packets, declarations, and motions for family-based petitions, consular processing, T-Visas, SIJS, VAWA, and waivers.
- Grade and provide constructive feedback to paralegals and legal assistants to ensure accurate and timely document delivery.
- Conduct exhaustive initial reviews to identify legal issues and represent clients in Adjustment of Status (AOS) interviews before USCIS.
- Serve as "Attorney of the Day," providing legal guidance to the team and attending operational meetings.
- Participate in Consultation Day Events.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Bar license.
- 2+ years of attorney experience reviewing complex immigration cases (T-Visa, VAWA, U-Visa, SIJS).
- Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with native or fluent proficiency.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and Immigration Case Management Systems (Camplegal).
- Growth-oriented "can-do" attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
Workload: 45 to 50 hours per week.
