Bilingual Collector
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers by phone and written communication to collect past-due payments.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and secure payment commitments.
- Aid customers experiencing financial hardship by providing appropriate payment solutions.
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience while resolving delinquent accounts.
- Conduct inbound and outbound collection activities while maintaining compliance standards.
Account Research & Skip Tracing
- Research delinquent accounts when customer contact cannot be established.
- Review account information and customer records to locate updated contact details.
- Contact references and utilize approved resources to identify and verify customer information.
- Maintain accurate customer demographic and account information.
Portfolio Management & Performance
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts while meeting productivity and quality goals.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvements and communicate recommendations to leadership.
- Provide feedback on training materials and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple departments to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Minimum 1–2 years of customer service and/or collections experience.
- Recent phone-based collections experience required.
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in: Automotive collections, Credit card collections, Mortgage collections, Financial services, Accounts receivable, Familiarity with the automotive industry.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
