Job Description

The mission of Metrocare Services is to serve our neighbors with developmental or mental health challenges by helping them find lives that are meaningful and satisfying. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills.
  • Implements and maintains designated processes around the front desk and switchboard operations (including, but not limited to the following):
    • Greets and directs consumers, vendors, and other visitors.
    • Registers consumers for appointments.
    • Answers and directs phone calls.
    • Maintains 90% accuracy of demographic information.
    • Distributes and collects Pre-Appointment packets and questionnaires for the Eligibility and Determination Unit (EDU).
    • Maintains the lobby clean and presentable.
    • Bridges problems to the attention of the LIDDA Program Managers.
  • Attends all training courses and meetings as directed.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Presents to consumers and staff in an attentive, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: High School graduate or GED with a minimum requirement of 2 years of customer service experience. Experience in an office or Behavioral Health Intellectual Disability Setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required. American Sign Language is a plus.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Computer Skills: Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize the Internet for resources.
