Responsibilities

A General Purpose Of The Job: Works with Journeyman and others in the installation and maintenance of plant equipment and other work as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates and observes the operation of conveying equipment, coal breakers, and recipocating loaders
• Assists with the and unloading of coal in the coal handling system
• Reads weightometer
• Keeps area around conveyors clean as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or proof of equivalent GED
• Prior experience with hand tools and small power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, or greater
• Must pass a physical exam, upon request
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
• Typically uses hand tools such as brooms, shovels, hand carts, maintenance tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, jack hammers, etc.)
• Operates forklifts and pickup trucks
• If working outside the plant, may stand or walk up to 80% of the day; if assigned inside the plant, may walk 50% of day
• Surfaces are variable: uneven ground, paved, grating, concrete or mud

Pay

Hiring Range: $38.10 per hour
