Responsibilities
- Oversee all plant operations activities, ensuring the facility delivers expected product quality and output.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company policies, standards, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Lead efforts to achieve a zero-injury workplace through compliance with state and federal regulations on environmental, health, and safety issues.
- Manage key performance measurements related to personnel safety, quality and food safety, service, and cost, while driving continuous improvement in process reliability and performance.
- Develop and execute productivity programs through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct and monitor overall plant operations, including production, engineering, and distribution, with responsibility for the plant’s financial P&L performance.
- Analyze manufacturing variances in ingredient, material, and labor usage, and implement strategies to reduce them.
- Control costs of materials, labor, and equipment to align with budget, eliminating waste (e.g., scrap, downtime, changeovers).
- Manage day-to-day local planning adjustments and execution of the central production schedule.
- Supervise on-site engineering design, construction, operation, improvement, and maintenance of manufacturing assets and processes.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all plant functions.
- Coach and teach corporate initiatives, including BOF implementation, ERP+, and operational discipline.
- Build a customer-focused, flexible organization with strong business acumen.
- Foster a collaborative and engaged workforce through consistent policies, effective communication, and an environment of openness.
- Partner with Human Resources to develop succession plans, support policy development, employee growth, engagement, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies (e.g., EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes-Oxley, Safety).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of plant management experience in a CPG manufacturing environment.
- Relevant degree in Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
Pay
Salary range: $160,000 – $185,000.
