About the role
The Latham Baptist Church seeks a pastor to succeed their retiring pastor after 16 years of service. The church is independent and uses the KJV Bible exclusively. Services are held with traditional music and typically average 10-12 attendees, primarily an older congregation. The sanctuary has recently been remodeled, and the community spirit and participation are strong.
Responsibilities
- Lead worship services and pastoral care
- Teach Sunday school classes
- Oversee church activities and events
- Engage with the local community
Requirements
- Strong faith and commitment to the Baptist faith
- Experience in pastoral ministry
- Ability to lead and inspire a congregation
- Knowledge of the KJV Bible
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Religion or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience
- Pass a criminal background check
