Bi-Vocational Pastor Needed
About the role
FBCPW is a Southern Baptist committee-led church located in Port Wentworth, Georgia. The church was founded in 1922 and seeks a bi-vocational pastor to lead them in evangelizing their community and serving their congregation.
Responsibilities
- Plead messages that are true to Jesus' teaching
- Willing to get out in the community to share
- Visit those in need
- Preach each Sunday morning
- Lead the Wednesday evening prayer meeting/Bible study
- Secure replacements as needed
- Provide pastoral care where needed (including hospital/home visits)
- Aid the church family with community outreach
- Lead Church Council and business meetings
- Assist/provide leadership to other staff members
Requirements
We are looking for someone who embraces the Southern Baptist Faith and Message and its doctrine. We prefer candidates who are licensed and ordained, have ministry experience, and/or have a college education in ministry.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a Bible-believing Christian who is passionate about sharing the gospel and serving the community. They should have a strong understanding of the Bible and be able to effectively communicate its message.
Skills
Effective communication skills, ability to lead and inspire others, and a passion for community outreach are essential.
