Bi-Vocational Pastor needed in Ignacio, CO

About the role

The Pine River Valley Baptist Church in Ignico, Colorado, seeks a pastor who embodies a pastor's heart, loves to study and preach the Word of God, has a strong commitment to the community, a passion for reaching lost souls, and a vision to bring youth and children back into the church. The church is located on three acres, is independent, uses the King James Version for teaching and preaching, is debt-free, and averages 10-15 attendees per service (primarily an older congregation). It borders the Southern Ute Indian Reservation and desires to grow, particularly in reintroducing children’s programs.

Responsibilities

- Lead worship services and teach Sunday school. - Preach regularly and develop new sermon series. - Build and maintain relationships within the community. - Reach out to and engage with the local youth population. - Develop and implement plans to reintroduce children’s programs. - Maintain a biblical worldview consistent with the church's doctrinal statements.

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in Theology or related field. - At least five years of pastoral experience. - Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. - A passion for evangelism and discipleship. - Familiarity with the King James Version of the Bible.

Qualifications

- A heart for the lost and the unreached. - A proven track record of leading and growing a congregation. - Experience in developing and implementing youth ministry programs. - Ability to work collaboratively with the existing leadership team.
