Bi-Vocational Pastor

About the role

The Pastor at Southside Baptist Church in Blakely, Georgia is to study and preach God's Word, be a Godly leader, and engage the congregation in God's service and fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Study and preach God’s Word
• Engage the congregation in God’s service and fellowship
• Follow God’s leadership
• Grow God’s Kingdom through membership and baptisms
• Serve the community and church family
• Develop discipleship and missions opportunities
• Assist with local church family and community outreach including hospital/home visits and pastoral care
• Lead Church Counsel and Business Meetings as appropriate
• Aid office staff with administrative duties

Requirements

• Licensed and Ordained
• Ministry experience and/or seminary-college education is encouraged but not required
• Supply each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening (Sunday night services are not held at present)
• Secure replacements as needed

Qualifications

• Available to assist with local church family and community outreach including hospital/home visits and pastoral care
• Lead Church Counsel and Business Meetings as appropriate
• Aid office staff with administrative duties

Skills

• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to engage the congregation
• Experience in ministry or seminary
