BH Therapist - FFT
About the role
The Functional Family Therapist provides evidence-based services to families with youth ages 11 through 18 years old who are at risk or have been referred for behavioral or emotional problems. The role utilizes the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change.
Responsibilities
- Tailors services to the individual family using treatment protocols, case management, crisis intervention, community outreach, and in-home services.
- Works as part of an FFT team and participates in weekly team supervision and consultation from FFT-trained clinicians.
- Works with adolescents and families, using cultural responsivity and trauma-informed practice.
- Utilizes interpersonal and relationship skills to individualize program interventions to adolescent and family strengths.
Requirements
- Required degrees/licensures: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology, and ND licensure as a LPCC, LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMSW, LBSW, LMFT, or psychologist.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
Qualifications
- Experience working in human services, such as social work, human relations counseling, developmental disabilities case management, mental illness case management, vocational rehabilitation counseling, activity therapy, addiction counseling, nursing, employment counseling, or a similar professional level position.
Skills
- Comfortable working with adolescents and families.
- Cultural responsivity and trauma-informed practice.
- Effective interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Ability to tailor services to individual family needs.
