Beverage Shift Manager

About the role

The Beverage Shift Manager oversees all beverage operations for their shift, ensuring quality and efficiency across the department. Key responsibilities include scheduling, inventory management, payroll, attendance, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff based on daily pit sheets and supervisor inputs.
• Check and report shortages in liquor, wine, beer, dry goods, and glassware.
• Verify the validity and accuracy of all requisitions and maintain par levels.
• Ensure consistent and high-quality product offerings and glassware usage.
• Perform monthly inventory checks and address discrepancies promptly.
• Extend payroll, adjust attendance charts, and document any payroll discrepancies.
• Treat employees fairly, issue appropriate discipline, and document all events for further investigation.
• Communicate effectively with all staff and guests, maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of bars and pump rooms daily.
• Complete surveys and ensure proper oversight of host or supervisor checks.
• Log pertinent information in log books and attend all necessary meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in food and beverage.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to cigarette smoke.

Pay & Benefits

Starting rate: $43,344.65. Compensation negotiable based on experience and education. Benefits vary by position and may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
