Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, daily special products and services available in the assigned venue
- Greets guests, takes beverage orders and relays them to bartenders, effectively utilizing the POS system and PLU (Price Look Up) numbers, and utilizing the appropriate Order Call system
- The ability to garnish drinks as needed
- The ability to prepare beer, wine, and frozen drinks as needed
- Must be able to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test
- Complies with established policies on Reasonable Service of Alcohol
- Assures each individual site is in compliance with WCH’s Alcohol Policies & Procedures regarding the sale of alcohol on Tribal property
- Ensures sufficient inventories are maintained to meet the needs of the beverage operation
- Ensures that all applicable reports are completed in a timely manner
- Ensures the physical condition of the premises are maintained in a safe, healthy manner
- Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of the Minimum Internal Control Standards, Alcohol Policies & Procedures, and Fiscal Policies and Procedures
- Anticipates guests’ needs, responding promptly and acknowledging guests even when busy
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Six (6) months related experience and/or training- preferred
- Willingness and ability to lift and carry 20lbs continuously throughout the day
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Wind Creek Hospitality
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
- Successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and TIPS training
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
