Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with recipes and service standards.
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers, ensuring timely delivery and positive interactions.
- Maintain full knowledge of bar products, drink preparation methods, alcohol laws, and responsible service guidelines.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption, identify signs of intoxication, and enforce company policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Engage guests with friendly, helpful, and professional service that enhances their overall experience.
- Sell cigarettes, amenities, and food items as permitted, ensuring accurate transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar by replenishing supplies, filling ice bins, cleaning equipment, and removing trash.
- Operate bar equipment and POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a calm, pleasant, and professional demeanor during high-volume or stressful situations.
- Support team members and communicate effectively with all departments.
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Prior bartending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of bar equipment, beverage preparation, and alcohol laws and regulations.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to create positive, engaging interactions.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in high-stress or high-volume situations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfort working in environments with smoke, variable temperatures, lighting, and noise levels.
- Ability to safely handle glassware, bar tools, beverages, and cleaning chemicals.
- Compliance with all company policies, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
