Beverage Industry - Maintenance Technician crew A

About the role

Sunny Sky Products is a leading aseptic beverage manufacturer in Douglassville, PA. We are currently seeking an Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on processing, packaging, and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems (where applicable).
• Conduct facility repairs related to plumbing, lighting, doors, flooring, and structural components.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Partner with production supervisors and operators to resolve mechanical issues.
• Support equipment changeovers and adjustments to support production schedules.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout, confined space, and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with sanitation requirements.
• Absorb and prepare for audits related to maintenance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Technical certification or trade school preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or beverage preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with conveyors, fillers, mixers, packaging lines, pumps, and motors.
• Basic PLC and automation knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Forklift and/or scissor lift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Preventive Maintenance & Documentation

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs.
• Document work orders, repairs, and parts usage in the maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend permanent solutions.
• Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, temperature variations, and food-grade environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

Pay

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Crew A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday – 7AM - 7:30 PM. Shifts alternate every other Wednesday.
