Beverage Bar Back

Provide friendly, excellent service to every customer while keeping the beverage area clean and stocked at all times.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies and equipment for each beverage station and place fruits, glasses, and silverware in their respective places.
• Prepare fruit, fill ice bins, and clean ashtrays.
• Wash glasses for the bartender and clear debris from the bar.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
• Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Push, pull, and turn a four-wheel loaded cart to all bars in the casino from the liquor storeroom (weight varies from 100 to 500 pounds).
• Unload cart and place or stack orders in pre-designated areas; return empty cart to liquor storeroom.
• Remove trash, empty boxes, and soiled bar towels one to four times per shift; sort trash at dumpster areas.
• Thoroughly clean the floors of all mats and the floor behind bars (swing & graveyard shift).
• Exchange empty bottles of liquor for full bottles in pump room; change Bag in Box, CO₂ tanks, and tap kegs.
• Deliver empty bottles to liquor storeroom area and deliver ice to bars as needed.
• Occasionally act as Beverage Bartender when needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as juice guns, cutting boards, soda guns, ice machines, mixers, pourers, knives, coffee machines, non-alcoholic frozen drink machines, and ice tea machines.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Extensive physical exertion including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, walking, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, bend, pull, and carry beverage stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino for extended periods.
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
• Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted and noise levels range from moderately loud to loud.

Pay

Starting rate: $10.70 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
