Beverage Bar Back PT

Starting rate $10.70 per hour; compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

About the role

The Beverage Bar Back provides friendly, excellent service to every customer and keeps the beverage area clean and stocked at all times. Responsibilities include delivering requisitioned bar supplies (e.g., CO₂ canisters, liquor, wine, beer, fruit, glasses, matches, ashtrays, ice) and performing physically demanding tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, walking, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
• Adhere to all food and beverage policies, procedures, and liquor laws, including TIPS Certification and Alcohol Awareness.
• Complete all required Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC) training programs within nine months of employment.
• Maintain a current understanding of information security policies and comply with them at all times.
• Attend necessary meetings and stay informed about casino promotions and events.
• Obtain supplies and equipment for beverage stations, including preparing fruit, filling ice bins, and cleaning ashtrays.
• Push, pull, and maneuver loaded four-wheel carts to all bars from the liquor storeroom; unload and stack orders in designated areas.
• Handle small-ware maintenance, clear debris from bars and tables, and return empty carts to the liquor storeroom.
• Remove trash, empty boxes, and soiled bar towels 1–4 times per shift.
• Clean floors, including mats and areas behind bars (primarily swing and graveyard shifts).
• Exchange empty liquor bottles for full ones in the pump room; change Bag-in-Box, CO₂ tanks, and tap kegs.
• Collect and return beer bottles to the recycling room and deliver empty liquor bottles to the storeroom.
• Deliver ice to bars as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the casino floor with beverage servers and EVS staff.
• Obtain and deliver guest food orders as needed.
• Occasionally act as a Beverage Bartender when required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as juice guns, soda guns, ice machines, mixers, pourers, knives, coffee machines, and frozen drink machines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.

Physical Requirements

• Extensive physical exertion involving arms, hands, and legs, including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, walking, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport beverage stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino for extended periods.
• Physical stamina and mental resilience to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
• Ability to work in a moderately loud to loud environment where smoking is permitted.
