Beverage Banquet Captain

Responsibilities

• Communicate, discuss, and direct pre‑ and post‑event banquet setup needs
• Order from Banquet Event Orders
• Conduct monthly inventories
• Distribute product to bars and maintain it during events
• Complete consumption sheets per event for billing
• Maintain organization of storage areas
• Meet with guests and hold banquet bartenders to opening and closing duties
• Plan and facilitate regularly‑scheduled banquet bartender trainings
• Maintain floor presence during events to uphold high standards of service and attention to detail
• Manage guest and bartender expectations
• Perform additional duties as assigned, based on business demands

Requirements

• One year minimum experience in food and beverage operations within a hotel or resort environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to drive gas‑powered vehicles and box trucks
• Desire to create “WOW” moments for guests
• Intermediate computer skills
• Luxury‑hotel experience is a plus
• Passion for providing exceptional guest service and creating memorable moments
• Willingness to direct and lead bartenders
• Trustworthiness, integrity, and openness to learning and personal growth

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods during a shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb regularly and for extended periods
• Ability to push and pull food‑serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 lb on a semi‑regular basis
