Benefits Specialist
Job Summary
The Benefits Specialist assists with the administration of all benefit programs and oversees and administers leave requests and accommodations. This individual works closely with HR, payroll, vendors, and employees to deliver a high-quality benefits experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in administering benefit and retirement plans.
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and team members on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
- Process team members' life status changes in the benefit admin system.
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the benefit admin system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Support the annual open enrollment process.
- Aid in new hire orientation, communicating information about the company's benefits packages and policies.
- Partner with the third-party leave of absence administration vendor on all leave of absence requests.
- Absorb and communicate team members' responsibilities and any documentation and notice required to qualify for and take leave.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting with varying degrees of temperature and noise levels. The vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office. Travel may be required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- 3+ years of benefits experience.
- Working knowledge of ERISA laws, ACA, HSA, HIPAA, COBRA, and Section 125 Plans.
- Experience administering benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with systems and reporting.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $65,000- $75,000 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
