The Benefits Specialist will play a key role in supporting employees through all aspects of benefits administration, ensuring a smooth and accurate experience across health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
Commendations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and other benefits.
- Manage and resolve support requests through HR ticketing systems, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Process employee enrollments, terminations, and plan changes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update employee benefits data within HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Support the development and distribution of clear communications regarding benefits programs, enrollment procedures, and policy updates.
- Generate reports and analyze benefits data to support HR decision-making and operational planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of benefits policies, ensuring consistency across all materials.
- Afford assistance during open enrollment periods, employee events, and other HR initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Strong HR administration experience, attention to detail, and the ability to support employees with professionalism and accuracy.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or a related human resources function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, HR policies, and relevant employment regulations.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with high attention to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- HR certifications or advanced HR education.
